Found 9 Blacks in my time playing. 6 of which have randomly dropped from Pre-searing creatures ie Scales and Elementals.

found about 6 black dyes ever since i started playing last year.

my first drop is from pre-searing. i also got one from grasping darkness in UW, and another from arkjok ward while farming tusked howler/hunters. just got one recently in arkjok ward, from a murmuring thornbrush. could not remember the others though..

Getting any one specific dye to drop is pretty rare imo. Black is just as rare as any other color and I get it just as often as any other color. Sometimes I get them a lot and sometimes I don't.

Wow, you guys keep track of these things? I remember getting one from a bug in Istan once, but I don't really think about the monster because I'm too busy going "OH SHIT BLACK DYE"

this is the dyes Ive gotten in the last 5-6 months alone.

You can make of that the availablity of the distribution on there drop rates as you want lol

Ive only had 2 Black dyes drop untill now.

cant remember teh first one...

But I found the second to be pretty memorable;

The very last foe to be killed during a Vloxian Falls venquishing dropped it (One of the Vatirs I think). I kinda felt like it was a second reward to the big Area Vanquished in the middle of the screen

I had one in pre searing, dont know from what monster... was about to pick it up... when my party member zoned.
Luckily for my computer I did not know how much it was worth at the time XD

Found some more over the past 19 months, but i dont remember them all ^^ just that one

remember getting one from those crimson skulls (panjiang peninsula), those star thingies in nahpui quarter and undead in sulfurous wastes... can't remember the others

Last week i got my first 1 in the 32 months of playing. Got if from a plague zombie whilst sat on a free CoF run. Obviously i had to tip the bloke who was running it after that run

Dropped off a charr in post... on the last day of beta before it went live. So really I guess it doesn't count at that point...

Got from charr in pre. From kournan soldiers, minotaurs desert those enemies in dragon's lair Kryta from imps, cantha vardens and Affliced. guess there where i got one i can remember
